DESIGN ELEMENTS PRESENTATION
This was an entry-level assignment for the class and honestly, it was quite difficult. I had no idea what we were doing but as I worked to complete the assignment, I as able to learn basic things about Adobe InDesign. I did not quite know how to apply the things I learned, but knew that I would find a way somehow.
TWO PAGE ARTICLE AND ILLUSTRATION
This project was the second project of the semester. It was pretty scary to learn about all of the Adobe applications that we would be using, but after this assignment, I found that it was not as daunting as it really seemed. I learned a lot about InDesign, but also learned how important it is to save your work along the way because my computer crashed on me! I also learned that you can virtually create anything in InDesign with the pen tool.
SOCIAL JUSTICE CAMPAIGN
In this project, we began to culminate everything that we had learned in the class so far. It was by far my favorite project because I got to make a campaign that I was otherwise proud of and passionate about. It was my first time using Adobe Photoshop, and it actually was much easier than I thought.
This project was the hardest one for me. And the way that the calendar lined up did not help the process either. However, it was fun being able to have an assignment where so much of it relied on your creative ability and choices. I learned much more about InDesign and how you can literally create a mini magazine from one piece of paper!
IN FIVE YEARS...
In five years, I hope that I am working on TV somewhere. I have always had a passion to work on TV news and I am confident that I will get there in a matter of time. Although it is what I am studying to hopefully make into my career, I also believe that God takes us on paths that are unexpected and that is something that I am also open to. There is so much to do and experience in this world. The sky really is the limit. I have so many career passions that I really don't just see TV news as my one career. I am excited to see where the road takes me as I begin my new post college journey.
